Hylaform Side Effects
A major advantage of Hylaform is that little or no recovery time
is required, and similarly, there are very few adverse Hylaform
side effects. Many Hylaform patients have reported that the treatment
is quite comfortable, and a few others have noted some discomfort
during treatment which ordinarily resolves very quickly.
Please note however, some of the possible side effects from Hylaform
treatment include:
- bruising
- redness
- swelling
- pain
- tenderness, and
- raised bumps of skin (nodules)
To prevent possibly adverse reactions, Hylaform should not be used:
- where the patient has a known history of hypersensitivity to avian
proteins
- for breast augmentation
- for implantation in tendon, bone, ligament or muscle
- for injection into blod vessels (because Hylaform may clog the
vessels, thus restricting blood flow and killing tissue)
- on individuals who have allergies that are specific to birds (given
that Hylaform's main component is from the combs of specially bred
roosters.
- on individuals who are currently on an anticoagulant therapy
It is important to also note that:
- Hylaform has not been tested on pregnant women
